Doda, Jan 2: A member of the Village Defence Guard (VDG) from Dewal Kund in the Dessa area of Doda district fired a few warning shots after noticing suspicious movement near his village, sources said.
Sources said that the VDG member observed some unusual movement in the vicinity late on Friday, following which he opened three to four rounds from his issued SLR weapon as a precautionary measure.
They said no injury or casualty was reported in the incident. Security forces were later informed and the area was kept under observation. (KNC)
