JAMMU, Jan 2: Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), NHPC today reaffirmed his vision for sustainable growth, innovation and operational excellence in 2026, while emphasising the organisation’s continued commitment to nation-building, clean energy transition and community development.
Addressing during a special New Year programme organised at the NHPC Corporate Office, Gupta reiterated NHPC’s pledge to work with renewed dedication and collective responsibility to achieve organisational goals and contribute to India’s energy security and sustainable development.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhupender Gupta extended his heartfelt New Year greetings to all NHPC employees and highlighted the significant achievements of the organisation.
He reflected on NHPC’s remarkable milestones achieved despite numerous challenges during the past year and shared motivating messages with the workforce.
Sharing his views, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), emphasised the pivotal role of human capital in NHPC’s success and highlighted the organisation’s focus on employee welfare, capacity building and fostering a positive, performance-oriented work culture.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), underlined NHPC’s commitment to timely execution of projects and strengthening project management systems to support capacity addition and long-term growth.
Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), spoke on the importance of technological innovation, safety and quality standards to ensure efficient and reliable power generation across NHPC’s operations.
Highlighting NHPC’s robust financial performance, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance), reiterated the organisation’s focus on financial discipline, value creation and sustainable investments.
During the function, a colourful dance drama titled ‘Shri Krishna’ was presented by artistes from Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi, which mesmerised and enthralled the audience.
The programme was also witnessed by NHPC employees across all locations through webcast as well as Facebook and YouTube live streaming.
