MEXICO, Jan 3:
Mexico’s National Seismological Service (SSN) reported 936 aftershocks following a 6.5 magnitude earthquake on Friday.
“The National Seismological Service recorded 936 aftershocks from the magnitude 6.5 quake,” the SSN said on X late Friday.
On Friday, Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada reported 12 injuries in the capital from the earthquake. The National Seismological Service had earlier said the 6.5-magnitude tremor struck Guerrero state in southern Mexico.
Tremors were also felt in Morelos, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Tabasco, and Colima states. (UNI)
