Wg Cdr M M Joshi conferred Silver Star Award

JAMMU, Jan 10: Governor of Chhattisgarh, Ramen Deka today presented Silver Star Award to Wg Cdr M M Joshi, National Commissioner Special Program Bharat Scouts & Guides.
Silver Star Award is the highest National Distinction of the Movement and was conferred to Wg Cdr Joshi in recognition of his exceptionally distinguished and meritorious service to the Scouting Movement.
Dr. A.K Jain, Ex-M.P, National President Bharat Scouts & Guides along with Dr. K.K Khandelwal, Chief National Commissioner were also present on the occasion.
Wg Cdr Joshi is a prominent figure of J&K who has played a pivotal role in strengthening Scouting & Guiding in the Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh through his exemplary leadership as State Commissioner and also as National Commissioner Special Program at the National Headquarters.
He is widely respected for his discipline, vision and commitment to youth development and he has been instrumental in promoting the values of service, character building and national integration.
At the national level he has provided constant guidance and firm support in his capacity as National Commissioner Headquarters for Special Programme. His leadership and mentorship have significantly contributed to the planning and execution of national level programmes and initiatives of the Bharat Scouts & Guides.
The award was presented during the Opening Ceremony of the First National Rover/Ranger Jamboree of Bharat Scouts and Guides held at Dudhali, Balod, Chhattisgarh.
