SRINAGAR, Jan 12: The J&K Government today reconstituted the Search Committee for the appointment of the Chairperson of the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and the Director of the J&K State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT).

According to an official order, the Government has reconstituted the Search Committee for recommending panels for the posts of Chairperson, JKBOSE, and Director, JKSCERT, superseding an earlier order (No. 163-JK(GAD) of 2025) dated January 30 last year.
The reconstituted committee comprises the Administrative Secretaries of the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department; Agriculture Production Department; General Administration Department; Higher Education Department; and School Education Department, along with the Vice-Chancellors of the University of Jammu and the University of Kashmir.
The School Education Department will service the committee, which has been directed to submit its recommendations in a time-bound manner.
Earlier, a search committee had also been constituted and candidates shortlisted for both posts; however, the process did not reach its culmination.
In another order (No. 44-JK(GAD) of 2026), the General Administration Department assigned additional charge of Director, JKSCERT, to Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, JKAS, who is currently serving as Director of School Education, Jammu.
The order stated that the arrangement has been made “in the interest of administration” and will remain in force until further notice.
