JAMMU, Jan 14: The Acharya National Culture Activity, an NGO, here today organised the event ‘Best Dancer of J&K 2026’-dance & fancy dress competition.
The event witnessed participation from children of various schools and reputed dance academies of Jammu.
The chief guest was Amit Sharma, Director Census, J&K, and Ladakh.
Devinder Seth, social activist; Jasmeet Singh, RTO Jammu; Pritam Chand, BSP leader; Hitesh Badyal, Founder, Nirvana Academy; Subash Chander, J&K Teachers Joint Action Committee; Nirmal Mattoo, singer; Gurpreet Singh, Deepak Kumar Pajgotra, Raj Shavotra, Show Director and Organiser and Vikas Choudhary, Judge and Managing Director, Pulse Dance Academy graced the occasion as guests of honour.
Results of the competition were announced and in Sub Junior Solo category, the first prize was bagged by Aadya Sharma, Aarya Gupta and Samaira Gupta while Siraj, Saanvi Rajput, Bhoomika and Kriyan Gupta secured second prize and third prize went to Aadhya Sharma, Yashita Raj, Vidhaan Gupta, Trisha Kapoor, Sabera, Aadhya Gupta and Manyata Verma.
In Fancy Dress Competition, Pavit Singh Bagga won first prize, Jiya Shavotra and Netanya Bagga, second while Naman Mattoo and Urvi Mattoo secured third prize.
In Junior Solo category, first prize was awarded to Amaira, Sem, Kajal, Hargun, Adhvika and Anaya, second prize went to Viaan Raj, Anvi, Naman Raj, Samaira, Anshika, Palak, Niklesh and Meghna and third prize was secured by Lovika, Navanya, Preeti Devi, Adwita, Dhrumit, Kiara, Manasavi, Udhnya, Taapsee, Lakshika, Dev Dogra, Khawaish, Divya, Pavika, Sanjana, Kyna and Manasbani.
In Senior Solo category, Aditya Singh and Kamlesh secured first prize, Hemshekha, Ayshi Sharma, Nawya Sharma, Shivalika and Deepak Pop won second, while Drishti Sharma, Diksha Sharma, Preeti Ahirwar, Bageshwari Sharma, Sanvi Bhatia and Suzain claimed third prize.
In Group Dance, Sub Junior Group, first prize was jointly won by Acharya Academy for Dance & Fitness, Shamrock School Narwal and Naveen Shiksha Academy Narwal, in Junior Group category, Acharya Academy for Dance & Fitness won first prize, The Lion Dance Studio secured the second prize and Acharya Academy for Dance & Fitness bagged third prize.
In Duo Category, the Sub Junior Duo first prize went to Hinya & Mehar. In Junior Duo category, Shivanya & Trisha secured first prize, Seerat & Sneha and Dhrumit & Naman jointly won second prize.
In Trio Category, the Sub Junior Trio first prize was bagged by Kaaranya, Hazel and Hinaya, while Anamay, Medhansh and Rida secured second prize. The Senior Trio category winners were Mandy, Raghav and Shubham.
