SRINAGAR, Jan 15: Police today seized a dumper involved in illegal soil extraction in Pulwama district.
A police spokesperson said that during the intervening night, a dumper bearing registration number JK03L-7959 was intercepted during routine checking. “Upon verification, it was found to be involved in the unauthorised extraction and transportation of soil,” he said.
Accordingly, he added, a case FIR No. 07/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 03 of the PPD Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and investigation has been initiated, the spokesperson said.
