RAJOURI, Jan 15: The 649th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion in Rajouri on Thursday.
On this occasion, a grand procession (Shobha Yatra) was organized by Shri Guru Ravidas Sabha, Rajouri. The procession was led by Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj. The procession, was held under tight security arrangements.
The religious procession started from Jawahar Nagar and passed through Panja Chowk, Gujjar Mandi, Abdullah Bridge, Jhula Bridge, Ring Road, and Tariq Bridge before concluding at the New Bus Stand at Salani. Upon reaching Salani, Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj blessed the entire congregation with his divine discourse.
During the procession, the devotees were seen cleaning the streets ahead of the procession, creating a devotional atmosphere in the city. Strict security arrangements were in place, which were being personally monitored by the SSP Rajouri.
On this occasion, speakers said that Guru Ravidas Maharaj dedicated his entire life to service of people. Therefore, we should follow the path shown by Ravidas Ji and do good deeds in life. We should inspire others to do good work. A Bhandara was also arranged for the devotes at Salani.
