UDHAMPUR, Jan 16: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered a large quantity of capsules of toxic nature from his possession in Udhampur town this evening.
An official said during routine patrolling in Saillan Talab area of Udhampur, a police team from Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO, Raghubir Singh intercepted one person identified as Danish Jandial, son of Ramesh Chand of Sallian Talab, Udhampur. Upon checking, 3500 Pregabalin capsules were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot, and the recovered capsules were seized.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Udhampur, and further investigation is underway.
