JAMMU, Jan 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R) today demanded regularization of all type of Daily Rated Workers (DRWs) and release the General Provident Fund (GPF), leave salary and Gratuity of the retired employees/pensioners.

Addressing a joint press conference here today, senior members of the EJAC- Babau Hussain Malik, Yashpaul Sharma, GL Chanda, Muzaffar Nabi, Munish Sharma, Madan Sangral and others strongly projected the burning issues of the Government employees, pensioners and the daily rated workers. They said that many times the issues of the daily wagers and other employees and pensioners were raised before the JKUT Government but they have adopted silence over the issues. Even the hard earned money of the retired employees/ pensioners is not being paid for the last more than one year.
They also referred to the stagnation of the employees at various cadre as no DPC is being conducted regularly. The seniority of the employees is not fixed on time by the senior officers at the helm of affairs and employees are facing burned due to stagnation in promotions. They also demanded that disengaged Home Guards should be taken back.
EJAC further demanded implementation of Old Pension Scheme, enhancement of Medical Allowance in favour of employees and pensioners, release of GP Fund, Gratuity, leave salary, commutation, and other benefits of the recently retired employees, early disposal of pending SRO-43 cases, removal of pay anomalies in clerical cadre, release of pending 18 months DA of Covid period, implementation of 8th Pay Commission in toto, release of withheld two increments during prohibition period in favour of SRO-202 Gazetted and Non-gazetted employees, and regularization of all type of daily rated/ contractual/ consolidated workers including Tribal teachers, REK. REJ, Anganwadi workers/ helpers, Asha workers , NHM employees, cooks of Education Department, Home Guards etc.
