JAMMU, Jan 18: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member Pandit Suresh Sharma today inaugurated the link road from Chowki Choura main market to Rajput Mohalla. This road was a long-pending demand of the local residents, which has now been fulfilled.
The road has been constructed from the District Development Council fund of Suresh Sharma. While addressing the gathering, he said that over the past five years, several roads have been constructed in Block Maira Mandrian and Chowki Choura, and the continuous effort is to connect every village and mohalla with proper paved roads.
Suresh also informed the villagers that the tenders for the Turgala road and Kharla Mohalla road in Chowki Choura have been finalized, and the work of laying tar will be completed before March.
On the occasion, BJP mandal president Ashok Kumar Sharma, former sarpanch Ravi Kumar, former sarpanch Ramesh Lal, former panch Deep Singh, Ajay Kumar, Nambardar Vakil Singh, Shamsher Singh and other prominent persons were present.
