Comprehensive cardiac services, including detailed cardiology consultations, preliminary screening, blood pressure and sugar monitoring, ECG evaluation and other basic diagnostic assessments, were provided to the attendees entirely free of cost. The initiative benefited people from diverse sections of society, especially those who otherwise have limited access to specialized cardiac care.
Dr Swati Mahajan is widely respected in the medical fraternity for her clinical excellence, vast experience in interventional cardiology and her compassionate approach towards patient care. Acknowledging the rising burden of cardiovascular diseases, she also interacted with patients and their attendants, spreading awareness about heart-healthy lifestyles, early detection of cardiac problems and the importance of timely medical intervention.
Being a daughter of the soil, Dr Mahajan has made it a personal mission to give back to society by extending her expertise to the people of Jammu. It is pertinent to mention that she regularly visits Jammu every fortnight, during which she offers expert cardiac consultations to the local population, thereby reducing the need for patients to travel outside the region for specialized treatment.
