JAMMU, Jan 18: A spa centre owner and the proprietor of the land where the spa centre was running have been booked in Akhnoor for allegedly violating the District Magistrate (DM) Jammu’s order regarding mandatory police verification of the tenants, workers and employees.
Police said the spa centre operating under the name “Colour Relaxing Spa Centre” was found operating without mandatory police verification of its workers and employees, which is a clear violation of the notifications and orders issued by the District Magistrate.
As per the standing orders, all residents, property owners and owners of commercial establishments are required to submit complete details of tenants, employees and workers to the concerned police station for verification.
Accordingly, police said, FIR number 11/2026 under Section 223 of the BNS was registered at Police Station Akhnoor against Jasmeet Singh, incharge and owner of the spa centre, a resident of House number 1123, Sector-6, Nanak Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Police have also taken note of the role of one Tikshan Langer, owner of the property where the spa centre was operating. He is resident of Ward number 12, Akhnoor.
“Langer’s role in allowing the spa centre to function without ensuring compliance with mandatory police verification norms and DM orders is under examination, and his role is being looked into in detail,” a police official said.
Pertinently, the action was carried out under the leadership of SHO Akhnoor.
Police have warned that non-compliance with District Magistrate orders and mandatory police verification norms will not be tolerated and strict and strict action will be taken against violators.
