JAMMU, Jan 21: Dr Vijay Raina, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kathua, represented the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at a high-level Expert Group Committee Meeting convened by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) in New Delhi today.
The meeting was held to finalize the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) with the objective of strengthening and standardising healthcare services across the country. Dr Raina’s participation in this prestigious national forum marks a significant recognition of his professional expertise and the notable progress achieved in healthcare quality initiatives in Kathua district under his leadership.
Held at the NHSRC Headquarters, the meeting brought together senior health experts, administrators and policymakers to deliberate on critical quality assurance frameworks. The recommendations formulated during the discussions are expected to set national benchmarks, especially for dialysis services in Medical College Hospitals, thereby contributing to improved patient care and service delivery nationwide.
