LUB flags MSME challenges in J&K, announces Prog incharges

JAMMU, Jan 29: Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), Jammu and Kashmir, today held a meeting to deliberate on issues concerning MSMEs, industrial growth, food processing and tourism in the Union Territory.
The meeting was attended by Parveen Pargal, national executive member; Dinesh Gupta, state president; Ankit Gupta, state vice president; Aagam Jain, state general secretary; Ishant Gupta, state secretary finance; Pranav Gupta, joint general secretary; Rajinder Sadotra, joint secretary finance; and Rajeev Gupta, state secretary.
The members reviewed the recent LUB J&K delegation’s meeting with the Union Home Secretary in New Delhi, led by Parveen Pargal. It was informed that LUB demanded extension of the existing New Central Sector Scheme (NCSS), immediate accommodation of applicants who applied before September 30, 2024, and announcement of a fresh NCSS package for J&K for ten years to strengthen MSMEs and industrial development.
The house was also briefed about the pre-budget meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held at the Civil Secretariat on January 27, 2026. Pargal raised the long-pending issue of clearance of outstanding MSME dues pending with various Government departments since 2017 and urged early resolution.
The issue of Meen Charaka land, earmarked for an industrial estate but later declared unfit, was discussed. LUB demanded conversion of around 1,400 kanal for residential use and development of a new colony, citing lack of housing for decades. LUB further sought inclusion of agro-linked food industries in the Rs 5,000 crore agriculture budget and demanded mini food parks districtwise.
During the meeting, the State president announced incharges for various organizational programmes. Dinesh Gupta and Pranav Gupta were appointed incharges for the Foundation Day to be observed on 24th April every year. Aagam Jain and Rajinder Sadotra were appointed incharges for monthly meetings.
Ankit Gupta was appointed incharge for Vishwakarma Jayanti. Ishant Gupta and Rajinder Sadotra were appointed incharges for all events and programmes. Ishant Gupta and Pranav Gupta will be incharges for virtual meetings.
