Jammu, Jan 30: Jammu and Kashmir posted a fighting total of 227 runs in their first innings against Jharkhand on Day 1 of the Men’s U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match at BSL Cricket Stadium, Jharkhand today. The innings was anchored by Basit Nazir, who played a superb knock of 111 runs off 265 balls, showcasing great temperament and class under pressure. His innings included 14 boundaries and a six.Udhay Partap Singh provided valuable support with a well-compiled 56 off 120 balls, hitting five boundaries to steady the middle order. Jharkhand bowlers responded effectively, with off-spinner Kounain Quraishi claiming 4 wickets for 46 runs, while Harsh Raj picked up 3 scalps. Manishi took 2 wickets and Tanish added one.In reply, Jharkhand reached 20 without loss at stumps, with openers Aryan Hooda and Bisesh Dutta unbeaten.
