JAMMU, Jan 31: The Shri Ram Universal School in Jammu organized an informative program on “Traffic Rules and Road Safety” aimed at promoting responsible road behaviour among students. The event saw the presence of key officials from the Motor Vehicles Department, including Neeraj Sharma, ARTO Samba, CS Billowria, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Mansoor Hussain Dar, Avinash Pandita, MVI and Neeraj Sharma, Accounts Assistant.
The event commenced with the participation of the School Chairman, Sanjeev Gupta, Director, Rajni Gupta Principal, Sonika Mahajan; and Admin Head, Rajesh Gupta. A captivating Nukkad Natak (street play) performed by students illustrated essential road safety practices in a relatable and engaging way.
Class IX-B student, Mukteksha Mahajan, delivered a powerful speech emphasizing the importance of traffic discipline and youth involvement in road safety. The event also included an interactive session with officials from the Motor Vehicles Department, who educated students on traffic rules, road signs, and the consequences of unsafe road behaviour.
The program was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health), SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities), highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic education.
