JAMMU, Feb 2: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Jammu & Kashmir unit today visited the Central University of Jammu and submitted a memorandum to the Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), highlighting several pressing issues faced by students.

NSUI also demanded extended library hours and better access to academic resources for students. The long-pending issue of student union elections was strongly emphasized, stating that democratic representation is essential for student welfare and accountability.
The memorandum has also been sent through India Post and email to the President of India, Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education, and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, seeking urgent intervention.
The delegation was led by Bhavanyu Bhagat (General Secretary, NSUI J&K) along with Shivam Sharma (former President, CUJ), Jai Sidh Bhalla, and other members including Mohit Sharma, Sparsh Kumar, Nitish, Naveed, and others.
NSUI leaders stated that the organization will continue to fight for students’ rights until concrete action is taken by the university administration.
