Tribute paid to CRPF martyr Mushtaq Ahmed

RAMBAN, Feb 2: CRPF’s 84 Battalion on Monday paid rich tribute to Shaheed Constable Driver Mushtaq Ahmed on his 18th martyrdom anniversary at Parnote Maitra in Ramban.
Constable Mushtaq Ahmed, a resident of Maitra, Ramban, laid his life on February 2, 2008, while serving 63 Battalion CRPF during an anti-Maoist operation in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh.

He is survived by his wife, Veer Nari Rubina Begum, and two sons.
To honour his sacrifice, 84 Bn CRPF organised a commemorative function at Oakfield International School, Parnote Maitra.
The event was attended by Commandant N Ranbir Singh, Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Assistant Commandants R.R Meena and Vikash Kumar along with over 100 CRPF personnel, family members of the martyr, prominent local residents and students.
Floral tribute were paid to the martyr and his courage, dedication and selfless service to the nation was remembered.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant N Ranbir Singh expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and reaffirmed CRPF’s unwavering support to the families of martyrs.
Family members of the martyr and former Sarpanch Abdul Gani, along with local residents, thanked CRPF for organising the ceremony and honouring the brave son of the soil.
The programme concluded with a moment of silence and prayers for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
A shawl and a memento were presented to Veer Nari Rubina Begum as a mark of respect.
