BJP Minority Morcha protests against derogatory remarks by Rahul Gandhi

JAMMU, Feb 4: Against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his highly derogatory and condemnable remarks in which he referred to BJP MP Ravneet Singh Bittu as a “traitor”, a protest by BJP Minority Morcha, was held here today.
The protest was held under the leadership of its president, Sardar Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, in which members of BJP Minority Morcha along with a large number of Sikh youth actively participated.
The protesters raised strong slogans condemning Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party and burned his effigy to express their anger and resentment.
Addressing the gathering, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa said, “Such statements clearly expose the anti-national and anti-Sikh mindset of the Congress leadership. The Sikh community has always stood at the forefront in service to the nation, with more than 90 percent sacrifices rendered during the freedom struggle and in defending the country during various wars.”
Nalwa strongly reminded that the Congress party has a dark history of atrocities against Sikhs, including the tragic events of 1984 in Punjab, Delhi and other parts of India.
He further stated that even the holiest Sikh shrine, Shri Harmandir Sahib, was attacked under Congress rule, an unforgivable act for which the Sikh community has neither forgotten nor forgiven the Congress party.
Nalwa demanded that Rahul Gandhi immediately issue a public apology to the Sikh community for his irresponsible and hurtful remarks.
“If an apology is not tendered without delay, BJP Minority Morcha will intensify its protest movement across every part of the country against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party,” he added.
The protest concluded with a clear message that the Sikh community and BJP stand united against insult, injustice and attempts to malign nationalist leaders.
