UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: The dead body of a missing PDD employee was recovered here today from near Moud National Highway in a decomposed state.
According to Police, the decomposed body of Rajinder Singh, 51, son of Nand Lal, resident of Dhar Gadian, presently at Chabutra Bazar Udhampur, was spotted this morning in Moud National Highway under mysterious circumstances.
Some locals saw the body and informed Police Station Udhampur following which SHO Udhampur, Purab Singh reached the spot with a team of cops and shifted the body to the mortuary of Udhampur District Hospital.
Family members of the deceased claimed that the man was missing from January 11.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings and the dead body was handed over to the family members for last rites after performing legal formalities.
