JAMMU: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, has achieved a remarkable feat by delivering 400 judgments in a continuous stretch of four days, disposing of over 450 cases.
The Division Bench, comprising Judicial Member, Rajinder Singh Dogra and Administrative Member, Ram Mohan Johri has disposed of all these cases with phenomenal speed and precision, making a paramount achievement in the country’s legal system.
With this extraordinary display of Judicial efficiency the CAT Jammu Bench, delivered 100 judgments in a single day providing relief to a large number of litigants for the service-related matters including regularization, compassionate appointment, seniority, promotion, recovery, etc, who were waiting for justice since long times.
All these matters were dealt meticulously and decided independently by giving separate judgments in each case which added flair to the judiciary.
Making remarkable record of its sort, the CAT Jammu Bench gave relief to poor litigants and created a world class benchmark record. Legal circles have fathomed the feat as the significant step towards the reducing of pendency and strengthening the confidence of the people in justice.
In this mechanism, large scale of pronouncements of the judgments not only brought timely relief to the affected government employees but also underscored the Bench’s commitment towards efficiency and accountability.
The Bench’s efficiency has set an example for others to expedite case decisions, reduce pendency and provide relief to those awaiting justice for 15-20 years and even more.
The Bench has created a milestone earlier also by disposing of highest number of cases among all the regional benches of CAT all over the country.
The CAT Jammu Bench has demonstrated that balancing timely justice administration with effective case resolution is, indeed, the essence of “Sarvdharam”.
