RAMBAN, Feb 5: The 84 Battalion of CRPF inaugurated the Shaheed Mushtaq Ahmed Memorial Volleyball Tournament 2026 at Chanderkote, Ramban, promoting youth engagement and sports in the district.
Commandant 84 Bn N Ranbir Singh formally declared the event open in the presence of Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Arvin Kumar Dixit and Assistant Commandants Roop Ram Meena and Rupesh Kumar, along with CRPF personnel, players, and local youth. Eight teams from Chanderkote, Dalwas, Batote and Sanasar are competing.
On the opening day, Chenab Warriors Chanderkote defeated Sama Brothers Batote (25-06, 25-08) and Team Chanderkote beat Team Dalwas (25-13, 25-21). Sports kits were distributed to all participants to encourage fitness, teamwork, and discipline.
