JAMMU, Feb 5: SPMR College of Commerce lifted the overall Wushu Inter-Collegiate Trophy in both Men and Women sections during the Wushu Inter-College Tournament (2025–26), organised by Cluster University of Jammu. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Government MAM College, which was entrusted with hosting the event at SPMR College of Commerce.
Sunil Gupta was the chief guest, while Dr Vinod Bakshi served as guest of honour. In the men’s category, SPMR College scored 36 points, followed by Government MAM College (31 points) and GGM Science College (21 points). In women’s events, SPMR College secured 15 points, with Government College of Women, Gandhi Nagar, finishing second (3 points).
In the men’s category, gold medals were won by Amanjot Singh (Below 48 kg), Vedant Singh Jamwal (Below 52 kg), Mangkshwar Baru (Below 56 kg), Rakshin Sambyal (Below 60 kg), Antriksh (Below 70 kg) and Navjot Singh (Below 75 kg) from MAM College; Vasu Singh (Below 65 kg) and Majid Ahmad (Below 90 kg) from GGM Science College and Vasudev Sharma (Below 80 kg), Ekmeet Singh (Below 85 kg), Ishmeet Singh (Traditional Tai-Chi), Kartavya Gupta (Chun), Simranjeet Singh (Flexible Weapon) and Samnek Singh (Single Weapon) from SPMR College of Commerce. In the women’s category, Anishka (48 kg), Tanvi Jamwal (52 kg) and Mahi Sharma (56 kg) won gold medals.
