RAJOURI, Feb 9: In its continued crackdown on the drug menace, Manjakote Police achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering contraband substances during routine checking.
A police team from Police Station Manjakote, led by SHO Imran Khan and working under the close supervision of SDPO Manjakote, Shahid Nahiem, conducted a routine checking drive near the ZEO Office, Manjakote. During the operation, one individual, identified as Aftab Ahmed, son of Sakinder Khan, resident of Mangalnar, Tehsil Manjakote, was apprehended on suspicion.
Upon his personal search, the police team recovered approximately 14 grams of Charas and 4 strips containing 60 capsules of Pregabalin (300 mg) from his possession.
Consequently, a case FIR No. 10/2026 under Sections 8/20/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Manjakote against the accused, and further investigation has been initiated.
