ACC extends deputation of two DC rank officers

JAMMU, Feb 11: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of inter-cadre deputation tenure of two IAS officers to the AGMUT cadre, who are currently posted as Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, the ACC has granted a one-year extension to the tenure of Basharat Qayoom, the 2016 batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre, to the AGMUT cadre beyond February 23.

Another order issued on February 6 said that the inter-cadre deputation tenure of Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan, the 2016 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, has been extended to the AGMUT cadre for a period one year beyond February 15, 2026.
While Basharat Qayoom has been currently posted as DC Pulwama, Athar Amir-ul-Shafi Khan is serving the region as DC Kulgam.
