JAMMU, Feb 12: The J&K UT Open Men & Women Tennis Championship 2025-26 was inaugurated by B S Jaggi, Honorary General Secretary of the J&K Lawn Tennis Association, as the opening day witnessed thrilling performances in the UT Open Men’s singles and doubles categories.
In Men’s singles, showing commanding traits, Arurh Bhanu Khajuria defeated Rutvik Salwan by 9-0, Abhinav Sharma overcame Naveen Upadhyay by 9-5, Gurleen Singh beat Kosheen Koul by 9-5, Parth Gupta edged past Ridham Angral by 9-7, while Akhilesh Sharma trounced Ajay Kumar by 9-3.
Similarly, Dr Ashish Bali, partnering Sanjeev Rometra, registered a 9-0 win over Ridham Angral and Vivek Singh in the Men’s doubles.
