JAMMU, Feb 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners & Senior Citizens United Front has demanded pending DA and enhancement of Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners.
The members of the Front also held a brief protest demonstration, in coordination with Employees Joint Action Committee- R, and projected their main demands here. They drew the attention of the Government towards their long-pending demands, which have remained unresolved for long.
They demanded regularization of daily wagers, ad-hoc, contractual, consolidated employees, seasonal teachers, and others; release of pending DA of 18 months, enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, release of pending GPF, gratuity, leave salary, commutation of pensioners, implementation of Old Pension Scheme and 8th Pay Commission without any more delay.
Prominent among those present included- Babu Hussain Malik, Muzaffar Nabi, Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari, Girdhari Lal Chanda , Yashpaul Sharma, Balwan Singh, Madan Snagral, Amarnath Thakur, Pawan Kumar , Rinku Gill and others.
