Aman becomes J&K’s first ISSF-Certified ‘B’ license coach

JAMMU, Feb 13: In a landmark achievement for sports in Jammu & Kashmir, Aman Singh, Coach at Mission Olympics Shooting Academy Jammu (MOSAJ), has become the first ISSF-certified coach from the region. He successfully completed the 12-week ISSF Coaching Course (Rifle) at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range under the directorship of Vesa Nissinen, Director of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Academy.
The course, attended by 56 coaches from India, Albania and Iraq, focused on scientific and professional excellence in shooting. Aman Singh specialized in Rifle and Pistol Coaching. The faculty included Karollina Nissinen, Head of Administration, ISSF Academy; Agathi Kassoumi, six-time Olympian and Pistol Instructor and Ronak Pandit, Head of Coaches Program, OGQ.
Dr Vesa Nissinen lauded India’s potential in shooting sports and highlighted the course’s emphasis on psychological expertise, nutrition, managing parents and media relations.
The achievement was supported by the National Rifle Association of India under President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo and General Secretary Pawan Singh, along with the Jammu & Kashmir Rifle Association.
Aman said, “This milestone is not just a personal achievement but a significant step forward for shooting sports in Jammu & Kashmir. I am thankful to NRAI, JKRA and my mentors for their constant support and belief.”
JKRA President Surinder Singh Sodhi, Chairman Kuldeep Jamwal, General Secretary Sharat Chandar Singh and Treasurer Arun Mansotra congratulated Aman Singh on the milestone.
