JAMMU, Jan 13: The semi-finals of the Martyrs Memorial 5-Day Hockey Tournament 2025-26 witnessed intense contests and brilliant performances.
In the first semi-final, J&K Police overcame Jammu Central by 2-0 in a penalty shootout after a tightly contested match. Prabjot Singh, goalkeeper of J&K Police, was named Man of the Match for his crucial saves that kept the opposition at bay.
The second semi-final saw Shahbad Hockey Academy narrowly defeating Punjab Police by 4-3 in a penalty shootout following an evenly fought encounter. Vikas, goalkeeper for Shahbad Hockey Academy, earned the Man of the Match award for his outstanding goalkeeping.
With these results, J&K Police and Shahbad Hockey Academy have advanced to the final, setting the stage for an exciting championship decider in the concluding day of the tournament.
