JAMMU, Feb 17: A delegation of District Development Council (DDC) Chairpersons called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, today and discussed various development issues of their respective districts.
The delegation was comprised of Col. Mahan Singh (Retd.) Chairman, DDC Kathua; Keshav Dutt Sharma, Chairman, DDC, Samba; Lal Chand, Chairman, DDC Udhampur; Saraf Singh Nag, Chairman, DDC Reasi; Dhanantar Singh Kotwal, Chairman DDC Doda; Pooja Thakur, Chairperson, DDC Kishtwar; Dr Shamshad Shan, Chairperson, DDC Ramban and Adv Naseem Liaqat, Chairman, DDC Rajouri.
Meanwhile, Lt Governor interacted with the Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) Probationers at Lok Bhavan.
During the interaction, Lieutenant Governor encouraged the young IDES officials to uphold the highest standards of public service and institutional integrity in their future assignments, contributing effectively to Defence land administration and governance.
Sonam Yangdol, Principal Director, Defence Estates, Northern Command; Ramswaroop Haritwal, Defence Estates Officer, Jammu Circle, and Dr Nitish Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Cantonment Board were also present.
R.S Chib, former Minister also called on Lieutenant Governor.
Meanwhile, a delegation of traders led by Dr Sanjay Bansal, Member, National Traders Welfare Board and National President, Federation of Trade & Industry of India (FTII) called on Lieutenant Governor.
During the meeting, Dr. Sanjay Bansal formally invited the Lieutenant Governor to grace the FTII Atmanirbhar Bharat (Swadeshi Apnao) event as Chief Guest on 1st March.
The Event has been organized FTII in association with National Trader’s Welfare Board (NTWB), Ministry Of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India.
Dr. Sanjay Bansal also presented the February issue of FTII’s national business magazine, Vyapar Trends, which has dedicated its title page to the Lieutenant Governor. The special edition was warmly accepted, and the efforts of Dr. Sanjay Bansal and FTII in promoting trade, industry, and development were appreciated.
The delegation, led by Dr. Sanjay Bansal, included Sanjeev Aggarwal, Sandeep Mengi, Mohit Gupta, Sudhir Mittal, and Ashwani Kohli. The discussions focused on strengthening local industries, empowering MSMEs, and advancing the “Swadeshi Apnao” movement.
