JAMMU, Feb 17: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK) Anand Nagar Bohri today released an inspirational annual calendar titled “Prerna Chitra”. This year’s calendar is dedicated to the literary and cultural contributions of Kashmiri devotional poet, Prakash Ram Kurigami.
Renowned Kashmiri literary critic Avatar Hugami spoke about Kurigami’s contribution to Kashmiri literature. On this occasion, Brij Lal Bhatt, who was selected for Padam Shree Award was honoured by SSK on the occasion.
Students of Maa Saraswati Library, Purkho-Urvee, Preeti, Sunidhi, and Tejasvi-were presented with books in appreciation of their cultural performances. Tejasvi Pandita expressed the pain and anguish of her community living in exile.
Popular singer Shanti Lal Sidh performed devotional Bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva. The programme was conducted by Radheshyam, and the event was coordinated by Pyarelal.

Distinguished guests on the occasion included Swami Hridayanand Ji Maharaj from Hriday Deep Ashram, Dr. Vikrant, Seh Sanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Jammu Prant, and the chief guest, Prof P. N. Trisal, who shared their views with the audience.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Trisal clarified linguistic misconceptions related to the word “Herath.” He stated that the term is neither derived from “Hairat” (meaning astonishment) nor from “Har Ratri.” Rather, from a phonetic perspective, “Herath” originates from the word “Shivratri.”

On this occasion, he announced the formation of the “Navreh Mahotsav Samiti 2026,” stating that the festival would be celebrated this year on March 19 and 20. He declared Padmashree Dr. K. N. Pandit as the convener, and Padmashree Brij Lal Bhat along with staunch activist of SSK Pyarelal Ji as co-conveners, Dr. Pandit and B L Bhat also addressed the gathering.
