“Rahul Gandhi Holds His Position By Mandate Of People, Not By Courtesy”: Nizamuddin Bhat

Jammu, Feb 19: Congress MLA Nizamuddin Bhat on Thursday dismissed remarks by certain TMC leaders seeking the removal of Rahul Gandhi from the leadership role in the INDIA alliance, terming such statements as “political narratives without substance.”
Speaking to reporters outside the Assembly complex in Jammu, Bhatsaid that political narratives often fluctuate and should not be taken too seriously.
“Political narratives are sometimes good, sometimes bad. There is no need to attach excessive importance to such remarks. Rahul Gandhi, as the leader of the Congress party and as Leader in the Lok Sabha, has his own place, status and relevance,” Bhat said.
He asserted that Rahul Gandhi occupies his position not by anyone’s courtesy, but by the mandate of the people of India and the dedication of Congress workers.
“Anyone opposing his leadership is merely expressing an opposition that lacks substance and should be avoided,” he added. (KNC)
