JAMMU, Feb 18: Trade Union Coordination Centre (TUCC) announced new Divisional Committee for Jammu.
A press conference was addressed today at Press Club Jammu by Mohammed Gafoor Dar, Chairman, Trade Union Coordination Centre, Jammu Division, and Nazir Ahmed Moulvi, vice president, J&K TUCC.
While addressing the media, Gafoor Dar announced the decisions taken by the Trade Union Coordination Centre (TUCC) National leadership. He claimed that TUCC is a Central Trade Union recognized by Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. He informed that during the employees conference held at Convention Centre, Jammu, the conference was inaugurated by SP Tiwari, National general secretary TUCC, and presided by Ghulam Rasool Gillani, president J&K TUCC, and was attended by other senior trade union leaders across the JKUT.
As per the decisions of TUCC, the Provincial Committee of TUCC for Jammu Division was constituted. Mohammed Gafoor Dar has been nominated as Chairman, TUCC, Rajendra Kumar as Provincial president, Raj Singh – general secretary, Hardev Singh – joint secretary, Shahzada Gill – organizer, Mahjabeen – treasurer while Rakesh Singh Bhau as publicity secretary.
Karan Singh, Sumit Chandail, Ramesh Singh and Basant Singh have been declared as Executive Members.
After the first meeting of the Provincial Committee, it was decided that the committee will revise organizational activities and frame a comprehensive tour programme across Jammu Division. The committee will visit all districts and blocks to strengthen district and block-level committees, Nazir Ahmed Moulvi said.
The Provincial Committee assured that it will ensure smooth and effective functioning of the Trade Union Coordination Centre cadre throughout Jammu Province.
