JAMMU, Feb 20: The Jammu Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a two-day Kabaddi Tournament under the “Khelo Bharat” initiative on the occasion of Nagar Khel Kumbh 2026. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from players across Jammu district, highlighting skill, discipline, and team spirit.
A total of 10 teams competed in the Boys’ category, while 8 teams participated in the Girls’ category. The inaugural session was graced by Vivek Shekhar, SP Jammu North, Jammu and Kashmir Police, who motivated the players and emphasized the role of sports in youth development.
In the finals, Admin Stadium team clinched the Boys’ title with Jammu United as runners-up. In the Girls’ category, MA Stadium emerged victorious, while Nagrota Club finished second. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, felicitated the winners and lauded the players’ performances.
