Disconnection of power supply

JAMMU, Feb 20: A delegation of the Purkhoo migrant camp today called on Dr. Arvind Karwani, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner J&K in his office chamber here under the leadership of M.K.Yogi senior KP leader to apprise him about the deteriorating condition of the camp inhabitants.
Yogi apprised the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner about their pathetic condition who have not been allotted a suitable accommodation, better provisions of pure drinking water and especially the grave issue of electricity which was disconnected yesterday putting over 125 poor displaced families to discomfort and inconvenience. The snapping of power supply also caused great hardships for their school going children.
Yogi appealed the RRC being the nodal officer of migrants to take this matter immediately with the concerned Department for immediate restoration of electricity in this camp.
He further urged Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner to make proper arrangements for their suitable accommodation by adjusting these poor migrant families in suitable quarters in any camp in Jammu.
The RRC gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that their overall problems especially restoration of electricity will be ensured after taking the matter with Power Development Department (PDD) on immediate basis so that regular supply of electricity is ensured in the shortest possible time.
The camp inhabitants who were the part of the delegation were Janki Nath Raina, Raj Kumar Dulloo, Kamal Ji Koul, Raju Pandita, Janki Nath Sharma, Babli Sadhu, Renu Koul, Vandana Devi, Surjit Singh and others.
