JAMMU, Feb 23: MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today inaugurated a newly constructed Community Hall at Shri Guru Ravidass Ji Sabha in Ward No 29 of the Jammu West Assembly constituency, dedicating the facility to the local community for social, cultural, and religious activities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Guru Ravidass Ji Sabha Committee, senior BJP leaders, Mandal president BJP Rehari, Bakshi Nagar along with party workers, and officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
The event witnessed participation from residents of the locality who welcomed the development as an important addition to community infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said the new hall would provide a dedicated space for gatherings and strengthen social unity in the area.
“I feel honoured to dedicate this facility to the community. The hall will serve as an important space for social, cultural, and religious programmes and will help bring people together,” he said.
He added that such projects aim to improve grassroots infrastructure while preserving cultural traditions and promoting community engagement.
Gupta also appreciated the efforts of the Sabha Committee and local residents for their cooperation in making the project possible.
He emphasized that development at the Ward level remains a priority and assured that more initiatives would be undertaken to enhance civic amenities across Jammu West.
Members of the Guru Ravidass Ji Sabha Committee expressed gratitude to the MLA and concerned departments for supporting the construction of the hall. They said the facility would be beneficial for organising religious functions, community meetings, educational activities, and cultural events, especially for youth and senior citizens.
Officials from the Jammu Municipal Corporation present at the event highlighted that coordinated efforts between public representatives and civic bodies are essential for timely execution of such development works.
The programme concluded with a brief interaction between the MLA and local residents, who raised suggestions for further improvement of infrastructure and public services in the area.
