RAJOURI, Feb 23: Residents of Koteranka today staged a peaceful protest against the acute shortage of doctors in the area, expressing serious concern over the lack of adequate healthcare facilities.
The protesters, including local residents and community representatives, gathered to voice their grievances regarding the prolonged absence of sufficient medical staff at the local health centre. They stated that patients, particularly the elderly, women, and children, are facing immense hardships due to the unavailability of doctors, forcing them to travel long distances to seek medical treatment.
The agitating residents appealed to the Health Department and District Administration to take immediate steps to address the issue and ensure the posting of qualified doctors at the earliest. They emphasized that healthcare is a basic necessity and demanded that essential services be strengthened without further delay.
The protesters warned that if their genuine demands are not addressed promptly, they may be compelled to intensify their agitation in the coming days.
