Beyond Security Awareness Summit focuses on advanced surveillance, public safety

JAMMU: The “Beyond Security – Awareness Summit and End User Meet” was successfully organised in Jammu, bringing together key stakeholders from governance, industry, defence, telecom, and academia to discuss emerging CCTV technologies and the growing importance of awareness-driven security systems. The event served as a collaborative platform for government end users and domain experts to exchange insights on surveillance adoption, regulatory compliance, and practical implementation strategies aimed at enhancing public safety and operational efficiency.

The summit featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Vikas Anand from the Transport Department, SSP CICE Ramnish Gupta, Lt. Col. Harpreet Singh, Suresh Sharma from BSF, SSP Telecom JKP Satish Sharma, Dr. Yashwant from Central University, Aijaz Qeiser, Joint Director Tourism, Munishwar Sudan, Senior Manager CP PLUS Jammu, Kashmir and Leh, and Anil Sharma, Senior Director NIC. Each speaker shared valuable perspectives on strengthening surveillance frameworks through advanced technologies and coordinated governance.
Senior officials from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Smart City Mission, IITs, and various local industry associations also participated, making the discussions comprehensive and solution-oriented. Experts highlighted the need for scalable and compliant surveillance infrastructure to support government initiatives, improve situational awareness, and ensure effective response mechanisms in critical scenarios.
Organisers expressed appreciation for the active participation of all stakeholders and reaffirmed their commitment, in collaboration with CP PLUS, to promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and reliable security solutions aimed at building a safer and more resilient public safety ecosystem.
