REASI, Feb 24: A young motorcycle rider was knocked to death by a Dumper on Pouni-Bhambla Road, here today.
The deceased was identified as Manik Sharma (22), son of Subash Chander, resident of Kotian, Pouni. He succumbed to his injuries at GMC Hospital Jammu.
The collision took place between motorcycle (JK20C-9784) and dumper (JK12B-9896) on the Pouni Bhambla road. After the accident, the injured youth was immediately shifted to Bhambla Hospital for initial treatment. Due to the critical nature of his injuries, he was later referred to CHC Sunderbani and subsequently to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to his injuries at GMC Jammu.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Pouni and investigation was initiated.
