JAMMU, Feb 26: The Government order regarding designation of J&K Board of Schools Education as nodal agency for conducting Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), has been kept in abeyance.

A formal order in this regard was issued today by the School Education Department, according to which, the Government order number 82-JK(Edu) of 2026 regarding the designation of JKBOSE/ State School Standard Authority (SSSA) as nodal agency for conducting TET has been kept in abeyance, till further orders.
Education Minister Sakeena Itoo had yesterday announced that the Government would postpone the TET, which has been mandated by the Supreme Court of India in a judgement dated 01-09-2025.
