160 BN CRPF organizes Anna Millets fair

NAGROTA, Feb 28: The 160 BN CRPF, Nagrota (Jammu) organized the Anna Millets fair, here today.
The fair was inaugurated by Sukhjeet Singh Rana, DIGP, OPS, North, Jammu, to promote the increased use of millets and in accordance with the Guidelines received from the Force’s senior officers.
A variety of dishes were prepared and displayed at the fair and the benefits of consuming Anna Millets were explained.
Millets (coarse grains like Bajra, Ragi and Jwar) are rich in fiber, protein, calcium and antioxidants. These are nutritious grains that are highly beneficial for weight loss, blood sugar control, digestion and heart health.
The fair featured dishes like ragi puri, Jwar Khichdi, Bajra Laddu, Jowar burfi, Ragi Balushahi, Ragi Idli, Ragi Halwa & Jwar Chilla, all using Anna millets.
Promoting good health Battalion organized a grand fair that included other cultural and entertaining games.
The Commandant of 160 BN CRPF assured to organized such events regularly in future.
Among others who attended the fair included Hariom Khare, Commandant-160 BN CRPF, Ajay Vibhanshu, 2-i/C of OPS, North, Jammu, Sanjay Kumar Bamola, 2-i/C, Sandhya Rani, D/C of 160 Bn CRPF and all personnel from 160 Bn CRPF, Nagrota.
