SRINAGAR, Feb 28: Apni Party president, Altaf Bukhari today discussed present political scenario and pressing public issues with the party functionaries here today.
Addressing provincial-level party meeting in Srinagar today, Bukhari discussed certain pressing public issues and grievances, besides important party matters. The leaders who attended the meeting shared their views during the discussion.
Bukhari began by extending his greetings to the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team for winning their first-ever Ranji Trophy title. He said that it is a matter of great joy and celebration, as the team has achieved this historic triumph.
Talking about the party’s strategy and policies, Bukhari said, “This is an opportune time to reach out to the people and make them aware of Apni Party’s vision and policies for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir and its people.”
He said that Apni Party has the will and vision to take Jammu and Kashmir on the path of peace, prosperity, and development. He added that Apni Party’s vision is to ensure that the prevailing uncertainty in the Union Territory comes to an end. Bukhari urged his colleagues to enhance their political and public outreach activities in their respective areas.
Reiterating his demand urged the Central Government to initiate a meaningful dialogue and engage the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in confidence-building measures to help end the mistrust between the government and the people of the Union Territory.
He urged the Government to ensure that Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in Jammu and Kashmir are conducted without any further delay.
Prominent party leaders who were present in the meeting included Mohd Dilawar Mir, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Abdul Majeed Paddar, Mohd Ashraf Mir, Ghulam Mohd Mir, Farooq Andrabi, Khwaja Farooq Renzu Shah, Muntazir Mohiuddin and many others.
