JAMMU, Mar 1: Member Legislative Assembly, Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan today laid foundation of developmental works pertaining to Power, Rural Development and Public Works departments.
He first started macadamization work of road from Nagri to Airwan at an estimated cost of Rs fifteen lakh. This road leads to ancient Lord Shiva temple of Airwan and is used by lakhs of devotees every year and locals who visit Airwan to pay obeisance to the revered shrine. The road has been damaged over the years and the badly damaged portions of this road will be macadamized which will provide relief to the people and devotees.
Thereafter he inaugurated a Compound Wall of Community Centre at Samper Sapla village constructed at a cost of eleven lakhs, followed by inauguration of village lanes and Drains of Samper Sapla.
The MLA also inaugurated a 250 KV newly installed transformer in village Samper Sapla. There was a long pending demand to augment power supply of the village and with the installation of this upgraded transformer, the residents of Rappar & Samper Sapla villages especially farmers and students will get much needed relief.
BDO Nagri Parole, Pardeep Singh, Executive Engineer, JPDCL, Kathua Mohd. Shafi, AEE JPDCL, Sunil Sharma, AEE PWD, Mahesh Sharma, Kuldeep Raj JE, Public works, officials of these departments and residents of Nagri Parole, Airwan, Rappar and Samper Sapla villages accompanied MLA during the inaugurations.
