Tahir Chowdhary meets Tarun Chugh, discusses key issues

NEW DELHI, Mar 1: Senior BJP leader and party spokesperson, Dr Tahir Chowdhary met BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh in New Delhi on Saturday, where the two leaders held detailed deliberations on the prevailing political scenario and developmental priorities in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Dr Chowdhary apprised Chugh of the ground-level political situation in the Union Territory, including public sentiment, party outreach activities, and organisational strengthening efforts across various districts.
He highlighted the need to further consolidate the party’s grassroots network in both the Jammu and Kashmir regions, particularly in rural and border areas.
The discussion also focused on the implementation of Central Government schemes in the UT after the abrogation of Article 370, which paved the way for the full integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country.
Dr Chowdhary briefed Chugh about developmental projects underway in infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, and employment generation, while also sharing feedback received from local stakeholders and youth groups.
Issues related to security, cross-border infiltration, and the overall peace situation were also part of the conversation.
Strategies to counter misinformation and strengthen communication at the grassroots level were also deliberated upon.
Tarun Chugh reiterated the central leadership’s commitment to the holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir and assured full support to party workers in the region.
He stressed that the BJP remains dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of the people by ensuring development, good governance, and equal opportunities for all sections of society.
Dr Chowdhary expressed gratitude to the national leadership for its continued focus on J&K and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party’s vision in the Union Territory.
