DODA, Mar 3: Fire broke out here today at Barri market in Jakyas and inflicted massive damage to at least four shops and a residential house.
Locals informed that the fire started from a computer shop and spread to the house of one Javed Wani in Jakyas.
After getting information regarding the blaze, fire tender were immediately dispatched from Gandoh to douse the flames.
Cops from the nearest Police Post were the first responders who along with the local volunteers started the operation to douse the fire and in the meantime the fire tender also reached the spot and collective efforts of all put off the fire but before that it had inflicted massive damage to four shops along with a residential house.
House of another person Pritam Singh received partial damage in the fire incident.
