JAMMU, Mar 3: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged a unique cultural presentation highlighting the rich and diverse traditions of J&K and chose to celebrate Holi by unveiling many cultural colours of the region through an enthralling presentation of traditional dances representing varied ethnic communities.
Instead of colours in physical form, the audience witnessed the symbolic hues of heritage, expressed through rhythm, music, costumes and traditional motifs. Elaborating this distinctive celebration, Natrang’s founder, Padam Shri Balwant Thakur remarked that nowhere else in the world one can find such an extraordinary spectrum of cultural diversity coexisting in harmony.
The presentation featured an exquisite range of dance forms representing Kashmiri, Dogri, Gojri, Pahadi and Bhadarwahi traditions. Each performance was a visual and auditory delight, characterized by authentic costumes, indigenous musical instruments and distinctive rhythmic patterns.
The stage came alive as artists seamlessly transitioned from one cultural expression to another, creating a bouquet of diverse traditions woven together in artistic harmony.
The audience experienced not merely a dance recital but a powerful reminder of the region’s shared cultural ethos.
