JAMMU, Mar 3: Three individuals were arrested for allegedly jumping the police naka at Domana area here today.
A police official said during routine naka checking at Domana, a suspicious load carrier (JK02CX-6225) was intercepted but the driver of the vehicle accelerated the speed, defied the signal, and broke through the naka in an attempt to flee from the spot.
He, however, said that alert naka party chased and intercepted the vehicle at Machine Domana Link Road and arrested the accused, identified as Mohammad Iqbal and Mohammad Shakil, both residents of Lale Da Bagh and Mohammad Shareef of Flora, Nagbani.
While the vehicle used in the commission of the offence has been seized, police have started further investigation into the matter to ascertain the involvement of the arrested individuals in other criminal activities.
