07JAMMU, Mar 6: Squadron Leader Neha Devi, an officer of the Indian Air Force from Jammu, has emerged as an inspiring example of determination by excelling in long-distance running while balancing service and motherhood.
She joined the Air Force Academy in July 2013 and was commissioned in June 2014 after transforming her fitness through rigorous training. Over the years, running and strength training became an integral part of her routine. In 2021, she secured third position in her age category in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (virtual edition) and continued to perform strongly in subsequent events.
Even during pregnancy in 2024, she maintained controlled workouts under medical supervision and secured second position in the TCS 10K (virtual). After delivering a baby girl in September 2024, she resumed training and achieved notable milestones within 15 months postpartum.
Her achievements include completing the VDHM Half Marathon in 1h 35m, securing 8th position in the women’s category at the Kashmir Marathon 2025, finishing third in the Defence category at the Adani Marathon 2025 and completing a 100 km ultramarathon in 9h 52m. She now inspires youth and women in Jammu to pursue fitness and break stereotypes.
