JAMMU, Mar 9: One individual has been arrested by the police after he allegedly resorted to aerial firing over some property related dispute at Ranjan Thathi area falling under the jurisdiction of Gharota Police Station here.
As per police, Karan Singh of Ranjan Thathi opened some aerial shots over some pending property related dispute with his cousins around 10:30-11AM yesterday, creating panic in the area.
Taking cognizance of the incident, they said, police have registered a case FIR number 28/2026 under sections 125 BNS and 3/25 Arms Act at Police Station Gharota.
While the accused has been arrested and his weapon has been seized, police have started further investigation into the matter.
